Motley Crue’s Vince Neil To Serve Two Week Jail Sentence
Vince Neil is headed to jail. The Mötley Crüe singer has accepted a plea deal with prosecutors in Las Vegas on Tuesday that will send the 49-year-old rocker to the slammer for two weeks followed by two weeks of house arrest in connection with a DUI arrest last summer. According to the Associated Press, Neil agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence when he appears before a Las Vegas judge on January 26. The singer's publicist released a statement in which Neil said, "I have recognized that you can't drink and drive at all."
Neil was stopped while driving his black Lamborghini near the Vegas strip on June 27, 2010, after leaving the Las Vegas Hilton. The "Dr. Feelgood" singer, who lives in Vegas with his fourth wife, had declared his sobriety just a week before the arrest.
