It's that time of year. Afternoon thunderstorm season. This year it seems like a little more often than usual. We've received severe storm warnings almost every day so far this summer.

Not a big deal, and we certainly appreciate the heads up (thanks National Weather Service!), but the only problem is that afternoon is nap time for baby.  Normally, she goes down about 2 and gets up around 6. That's prime time for T-Storm alerts. We leave the TV on in the room for her to watch cartoons till she falls asleep. For some reason, she has recently decided that she is TERRIFIED of the tones/beeps/alert messages on TV.  They wake her up and she starts SCREAMING, bloody murder.  So much for naps.
