‘A Good Day to Die Hard’ TV Spot: Yippie Ki-Yay?
With the new year right around the corner, it's time to get excited about the films of 2013, and though the February release date suggests lowering expectations, we're at least interested in seeing 'A Good Day to Die Hard,' perhaps because there's no way it will be as generic as the last one. Now there's a TV spot and it looks like the movie could be fun.
The 'Die Hard' franchise is nearly twenty five years old at this point, and the series went from Bruce Willis's John McClane being a normal guy in unusual circumstances (and possibly the only man for the job), to him becoming some sort of superman free from the laws of physics and able to take down helicopters by launching cars (and could ride harrier jets). From this TV spot, everything looks a little more practical, which is good.
Here's the film's synopsis:
Iconoclastic, take-no-prisoners cop John McClane, for the first time, finds himself on foreign soil after traveling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack–unaware that Jack is really a highly-trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover that their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes.
And here's that TV spot. 'A Good Day to Die Hard' opens February 14, 2013.
