Credit Card Chips are Giving Me a Chip on My Shoulder
Months ago, my bank updated our debit cards with the new chip on them. Everything should be fine and dandy but this has caused more problems than good.
I can't even begin to tell you how many times I have been to Wal-Mart in the Heights and gone to pay for my merchandise and had my card declined over and over. The clerks get frustrated thinking I don't have enough funds to cover the cost when I actually do. They end up running the card about six times before it finally takes.
Running my card at a car wash isn't even an option. It will not work there.
Even if I put the chip part into the machine it can and will cause problems.
I have talked to the bank which hasn't been too helpful on the subject and lately I have been hearing that other people (ironically from the same bank) are having the same issues as I am.
I have had just about enough of this and am looking for another bank hoping that if I switch, the problem will fix itself.
Do you or someone you know have these issues, too?
