Donald Sterling Tees Off on Magic Johnson in Explosive Interview [VIDEO]
Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling sat down with CNN's Anderson Cooper on Monday night to talk about the inflammatory comments he made that got him suspended for life by the NBA.
But it's his remarks about Los Angeles Lakers great Magic Johnson that stole the show.
Sterling denied that he's a racist and apologized for his words, but he didn't hold back in his contempt for Johnson:
What kind of a guy goes to every city, has sex with every girl, then he catches HIV? Is that someone we want to respect and tell our kids about? I think he should be ashamed of himself. I think he should go into the background. But what does he do for the black people? He doesn't do anything."
In the recorded comments that Sterling made to V. Stiviano that sparked the controversy, he blasted her for taking photos with African-Americans, including Johnson, and putting them online.
Johnson, who Sterling also described as having "those AIDS" (he's actually HIV-positive) is trying to move on from the interview, taking to Twitter:
