After a few months, I'm finally on the air here at Townsquare Media! And, as you may notice, have migrated from KBUL over to KMHK. Who am I? Well, maybe I can shed some light on that for you.

1. Born and Raised in Montana

Born 30 years ago in Miles City, I've been a lifelong Montanan (excluding a brief stint in Wyoming a few years back). I've lived in Miles City, Baker, and now Billings. Been around Billings since 2019, and counting.

2. Raised in North Dakota?

Well, yes. As a kid, my time was split between Montana in the Spring/Fall/Winter and North Dakota in the summer. Our family farm is in North Central North Dakota, nearly at the Canadian border, and the grandparents lived there year-round. So, I spent every summer until high school visiting them, and helping farm. The farmhouse looks different these days, but it still is a time capsule of my childhood.

3. I was in choir my whole school career

From a young age, I was in choir and enjoyed it. Tried learning the recorder, but failed miserably. Though, once I hit middle school (6-8th) I progressed fast. Ended up in their specialty choirs, and was eventually carried over to the #1 choir in Montana (Chorale) in high school. Fun times, great experiences.

4. High School Dropout

Yeah yeah, I am one of the statistics. I finished my junior year in school at Custer County District High School and said screw it. Dropped out, and skipped my senior year. Why? When you're staring at a school schedule of 4 Study Hall classes... I'd rather be making money. At this time, I'd been in radio for a few years part-time, and wanted to go full-time... so it just worked out. And yes, I immediately went and got my GED.

5. I've been a Night Club DJ

In 2011, I was FIRED from my first gig in radio. Now, if you know radio, you know... it happens. But, I had been working part-time at night at BoJangles Night Club for weekends... and went full time there. Ya know that rockstar life everyone talks about? I lived it from 2011 to 2015. Mostly a blur.

6. 100% Certified Nerd

Was I that kid with the taped glasses and suspenders in school? No. I was the typical 2000s "emo" kid, converse and skinny jeans with a band shirt from Hot Topic. But, on the flip side, I went home nightly to land at the computer and geek out with World of Warcraft, Runescape, Halo, etc. And I still do... I just wear slightly less-tight pants.
