President Trump Could Be Coming Back To Montana For The Midterms

As we get closer to the November 3 election, President Donald Trump could be coming back to Montana as part of a 10-state swing.

According to reporting from POLITICO, Montana is currently one of several states Trump is planning to visit in the final stretch of the midterms. The president is planning stops in both traditional battlegrounds and Republican-leaning states where competitive House races are underway.

Trump Hasn't Been To Montana Since 2024

The race in Montana's western congressional district appears to be one of the reasons the president has added the Treasure State to the list.

Republican Aaron Flint, who has Trump's endorsement, along with Libertarian Nick Sheedy and Democrat Sam Forstag are running for the seat in one of the most closely watched races in the state. Flint is hoping a Trump appearance could give him a big boost in the final weeks of the campaign.

The last time President Trump was in Montana was back in 2024, when he stopped in Bozeman to campaign for Republican Senate candidate Tim Sheehy.

Trump Is No Stranger To Montana's Campaign Trail

He's also made plenty of campaign stops in Montana over the years, including during his previous three presidential campaigns.

The other House race has received consirablly less attention, with Republican Troy Downing facing Democrat opponent Brian Miller, Libertarian Patrick McCracken and Independent Michael D Eisenhauer in the eastern district.

The Senate race, however, is a little more interesting, with Republican Kurt Alme facing independent Seth Bodnar, Libertarian Kyle Austin,  and Democrat Alani Bankhead.

For now, Montana is on the list, but Trump's Montana trip isn't set in stone just yet. POLITICO says the list of states and specific stops could still change in the coming days.
