If you have family coming over the next few months to visit you, one of the most spectacular events to attend is ready for you, your family and friends to climb aboard and visit Central Montana.
The annual Montana Dinner Train is returning for 2026, and it is one of the best ways to not just see Montana, but to experience what those that first trekked across the state via the rails did way back when.

The Montana Dinner Train is part of the Charlie Russell Chew Choo experience, based near Lewistown, Montana. It offers participants the opportunity to travel picturesque Montana landscapes during the four and half hour ride.

The train travels through "vast ranchlands, crosses three historic trestles and passes through a half mile long tunnel, all while surrounded by beautiful Central Montana mountains and sunsets" according to the description on their website.
Food, Music and More Offered During the Charlie Russell Chew Choo Ride
During the train ride, you will experience "enjoying a full course prime rib dinner, dessert, no-host cash bar and music by local entertainers" throughout the afternoon and evening.
All trains board at the Hanover Boarding Station, which is 10 miles and approximately 20-25 minutes from Main St, Lewistown. Tickets for the available dates in 2026 can be found and purchased here.
