Rockin’ the Rockies Returns for 2nd Year in Lincoln, Montana
First year events are always a risk, especially in Montana with the distance some things require you to travel. You just never know if folks will part with hard-earned cash to support a new venture.
So, when I saw a new flyer for a second edition of the festival to replace the original "Rockin' the Rivers" music gathering, I breathed a small sigh of relief, because it helps support a great cause in Montana, the Disabled American Veterans.

Rockin' the Rockies Returns for 2nd Year in Lincoln, Montana
In 2024, the original festival organizers announced that Rockin' the Rivers would cease. It left many music fans disappointed, but soon another group brought together a new venue in Lincoln, Montana. That new festival made its debut in 2025 in the small, mountainous town about 70 miles from Great Falls.

Fans packed the festival grounds, and organizers are now ready for the 2nd Annual Rockin' the Rockies event, to be held in Lincoln on August 21 and 22, 2026. 20 bands will hit the stage during the two-day event, plus a pre-event at the campground featuring karaoke and more.
Festival in Lincoln Benefits Montana Disabled American Veterans Again
As with the first year, proceeds from the event will benefit the Montana Disabled American Veterans program. Veterans also receive discounted tickets for the festival, at just $50 for a weekend pass.
General admission tickets are available for the weekend for $150; RV camping and tent camping are available at the area also for an additional fee. Tickets to the festival go on sale on February 20, 2026. Learn more about the event here.
