12 Annoying and Difficult Tourists Leave More Stupid Yellowstone Park Reviews
Bad reviews of Yellowstone National Park are almost something we enjoy reading these days. So many of them are based on such foolish complaints - the fickleness of Mother Nature, not enough wildlife on demand, or perhaps too much steam coming out of a geyser.
When you list off the best things to see in Yellowstone National Park to a visiting friend, it never fails that they don't fully absorb the 'very spotty cell service' part of the speech. I feel that I make a point of repeating that part often, but the lack of service is always complained about later.
We've gathered the latest and greatest one-star reviews about Yellowstone National Park from various online sites such as Google, Travelocity, Expedia, and others. We did NOT alter the reviews at all, so any spelling or grammatical errors were made by the original poster.
HOT AIR BALLOON RIDES IN MONTANA: WHAT TO EXPECT
(One Star Review): "I was excited before I got there, but it wasn’t at all what I expected… I saw a picture of it, but it was taken by a drone and when I looked at Yellowstone from up close I had no idea what was there at all with the steam."
(One Star Review): "The worst! First off, the boat inspector ladies dog jumped all over and scratched my truck. She approached me just to tell me her computer was shut down and I had to drive an additional half an hour to the next park headquarters. The signage in this park is horrifically terrible. To find a sticker for your boat...what a joke!!
(One Star Review): "Yellowstone you’re pathetic!!!! Not to mention the entrance personnel was rude. That was the worst experience in my 45 years living in this area. What a embarrassment for Wyoming."
(One Star Review): "Travelling in the park is like traveling in rush hour in a major city. Between waiting stopped for road construction 15- 20 minutes, over and over along with the lack of parking and crowds at all of the sights, Yellowstone was probably the worst vacation experience I have had."
(One Star Review): "Not worth the nightmare of a hassle...Only time you might be able to park at the sights is middle of winter. Traffic. And thousands of people with road construction sitting for hours. Did I mention that there's no place to park? There isn't."
(One Star Review): "If you are a YouTuber or influencer and plan to make video for the park, rangers say a permit is required for monetization. Not sure if all the Yellowstone videos have that permission on YouTube? She said they received millions of visitors a year, and welcomed any comments. But looks like they are too arrogant to care about the customers."
- (One Star Review): "The road construction was soooooo bad causing major traffic and 45 + minute waits that We only got to see a little of the hot springs and finally late in the afternoon, Old Faithful in an 9 hour day! We left thoroughly aggravated and Will not go back! Recommend you call before you go to make sure NO road construction!" (Call ahead???)
- (One Star Review): "The whole place smells like farts."
(One Star Review): "I can no longer recommend Yellowstone. The crowds are unbelievable huge and Traffic sucks."
(One Star Review): "We spent 2.5 hours completely stopped for road work! Gave up and left the park out of the west gate. Park management's coordination of road work is atrocious."
(One Star Review): "Hardly any animals. America has really hunted down most of its animal population. One should go visit other countries to see what wildlife really means."
(One Star Review): "Sorry Guys, but that was the worst NP experience. On July 18 delayed by 2 hours due to unannounced road constructions northbound to Norris. That was not even mentioned in the Park Newspaper nor at the NPS homepage."
