Whitefish Station Arrests Another Illegal Alien, Wanted n Bozeman
If you ask me, this is another "what the flying f?" kind of story. So the illegal alien- who already had a rap sheet and was previously deported- gets picked up for drunk driving in Bozeman...and they let him back out on the streets?
Over the weekend, we told you about the Havre Border Patrol Sector detaining a US citizen who tried to help smuggle 3 illegal alien Tren de Aragua gang members into the country.
There's also more news out of the Spokane Sector and the station in Whitefish, Montana. Here's what the US Border Patrol Spokane Sector shared on March 21st (h/t KJJR Radio in Kalispell):
Yesterday, while conducting targeted enforcement operations, Whitefish Station agents arrested Juan Angel Carranza-Guzman, an illegal alien and aggravated felon from Mexico. Carranza-Guzman has a significant criminal history in the U.S., with felony convictions for Battery with the use of a Deadly Weapon and 8 USC 1326: Re-entry of Deported Alien. Carranza-Guzman is also a Wanted Man in Bozeman, MT for Contempt of Court. Carranza-Guzman is illegally present in the U.S. and will be processed for removal from the country.
When I read this, I thought- wait a minute...why is a previously deported illegal alien who already had a rap sheet wanted for "contempt of court" in Bozeman, Montana? That tells me, yep- this guy was arrested and then let BACK out on the streets...even though he is an illegal alien AND had a rap sheet. And then, of course, he never showed up for his court date.
I checked in with the Gallatin County Attorney's office. They informed me that Carranza-Guzman was charged with a DUI back in September of 2024.
According to Jack Veil with the Gallatin County Attorney's Office, "The warrant dates back to September of last year. Any proceedings involving immigration regarding the defendant would fall under the jurisdiction of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), not our office. As such, we are not privy to the reasons behind the issuance of the Notice to Appear."
So, what's happening? It looks to me like the Biden Administration allowed criminal illegal aliens to roam the streets, even after committing additional crimes. That is no longer happening with the Trump Administration.
