Earlier this month, Metallica became the first band to play seven different continents in one year with their show in Antarctica. Now the band has made HD video footage of the entire 'Freeze 'Em All: Live in Antarctica' concert available via their YouTube channel (watch above).

Metallica posted the following message on their Facebook page: "As everyone shifts their attention to the North Pole, we've got one last video to share from down in Antarctica. Watch our full gig from our seventh conquered continent on our YouTube channel in HD. Thanks again to Coca-Cola Zero for putting it all together and to Burton Snowboards for keeping us warm!"

It was a truly unique and very exclusive concert. The lucky few who got to witness the Antarctica show in person included contest winners, research station scientists and the ship's crew. Metallica performed in a small dome, with the full sound only heard through special headphones given to those in attendance.

In addition to the video version of the concert, you can also purchase MP3s of the concert via LiveMetallica.com.

While they don't have a venue as exotic as Antarctica on their 2014 calendar, Metallica will be doing something unusual for next year's European tour. Fans will be selecting 17 of the 18 songs the band will play at each concert. The other song will be a brand new one.
