Metallica Unleash New Trailer and Poster for 3D Film ‘Through the Never’ at Comic-Con
Metallica made a mighty appearance at Comic-Con on Friday (July 19) in San Diego. All four members of the band attended a panel discussion along with the film's director Nimrod Antal, producer Charlotte Huggins and lead actor Dane DeHaan.
Over 6,500 fans at Comic-Con were treated to the new theatrical trailer for the film, which can be seen above. The clip offers a bigger glimpse into the film, showing DeHaan's character experiencing a wild night of bedlam in the streets as Metallica tear through 'Enter Sandman.' A new poster for the movie was also unveiled and can be seen below.
While Metallica were at Comic-Con to specifically discuss the movie, Billboard reports that a lot of the audience questions were geared toward the band's music. When asked about a new Metallica album, drummer Lars Ulrich replied, "We've had a couple of jams at HQ. [Next year] we'll be all about a new Metallica record. In about another year and a half you'll probably see one."
'Metallica Through the Never' hits IMAX theaters on Sept. 27 followed by a wider release on Oct. 4. Pre-orders for tickets are available here. More info on the movie can be found at its official website.
Following the panel discussion, Metallica played an intimate 13-song gig at the Spreckels Theatre in San Diego. See fan-filmed video of the show below.
