Retailers Closed on Thanksgiving

It seems like the trend of retailers pushing holiday sales earlier and earlier is starting to reverse a little bit, with more stores announcing that they will NOT be open on Thanksgiving this year.

According to www.bestblackfriday.com and www.retailmenot.com there are a number of stores that will NOT be open on Thanksgiving (although most of them open early on Friday):

• Costco
• Ace Hardware
• Lowe's
• Hobby Lobby
• Petco
• Sam's Club
• Bed Bath & Beyond

While not confirmed, these stores are predicted to be closed on Thanksgiving this year as well:

• Dillard's
• Home Depot
• Petsmart
• Harbor Freight

It would be awesome if everything expect essential services were closed on major holidays. Honestly, there are very few items shoppers can't wait one day to purchase.
