Slash Changes Tone About GnR Reunion, But is Slash Real or Make Believe?
Former Guns N Roses guitarist Slash made headlines today when he hinted at the possibility of a GnR reunion during an interview with CBS This Morning. When asked about the viability of a potential tour with his old band mates, Slash responded with, "never say never". The comment marks a drastic change in tone for the iconic axeman, who has vehemently denied rumors of a reunion for years.
As encouraging as this news may be for some fans, it begs a bigger question. Is Slash actually a real person? According to the Comedy Central cartoon South Park, Slash doesn't really exist. In the 2011 episode, the boys attempt to find Slash so he can perform at an upcoming event. When they can't track down the legendary guitarist, Clyde's parents reveal the sad truth that Slash is a make believe figure derived from an old Dutch legend.
Was that really Slash on CBS This Morning, or was it just a man dressed up like Slash in order to promote the "Save the Elephants" campaign? Considering his answer to the question of a Guns N Roses reunion, it may very well have been just another Slash impostor.
