Is this why from about May to September now every year here in Montana we get stuck chewing on all that wildfire smoke out of Canada?

Montana's animal shelters are opening their doors to displaced pets by the California wildfires. These animals are arriving soon and need your help.

If you missed it, Senator Sheehy (a Navy SEAL vet and aerial firefighter) joined nationally syndicated radio talk show host Mark Levin and Laura Ingraham on Fox News to talk about fixing our nation's strategy to fight wildfires. Check out his powerful remarks.

According to MT FWP, "Wildfires burning near Tongue River Reservoir State Park prompted a voluntary evacuation of visitors to the park Saturday evening."

Yikes. Montana is 4th is the US for deadly house fires. This seems largely preventable, so what gives?

The human-caused fire is now the 3rd largest fire in the state.

Governor Gianforte: "It's a lot easier to fight a weenie roast than it is one of these huge conflagrations that we see when things get out of control."

Adverse wind conditions forced the hard landing of a Montana DNRC helicopter that caught fire near Townsend last week. This is according to a report released by the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation following a review of the incident.

Bottom line up front: "There are still no plans to evacuate the city of Red Lodge." -US Forest Service Public Information Officer Billy Chapman.

A Montana DNRC helicopter went down near Townsend, but all crew members are reportedly safe thanks to the quick actions of law enforcement and a DNRC employee.
