The inaugural Billings event is July 30th. Line-up at 10 am in the Heights, parade starts at 11. It sounds like a blast and money is raised for Tumbleweed.

If you hear tons of sirens or see a large police presence moving through Billings on Saturday (12/17) don't be alarmed. It's just the 3rd annual Shop with a Cop parade. Fifty local kids will get to enjoy a Christmas shopping spree, thanks to community fundraisers.

Montana's history is veined with so much Irish tradition and history. In addition to Butte being called "the most Irish town in America", Montana ranks in the top 10 of states with the highest percentage of Irish heritage (14%).

Surprise! It wasn't because of COVID.

Is cancelation fatigue setting in? Perhaps. It seems like I've written, "in a year full of cancellations" about a hundred times this year. Here comes another one.

Burn the Point is a go for 2020, with the parade on Friday, Sept. 4th and the car show at MetraPark on Saturday, Sept. 5th.

The public safety parade is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, and end around the time a flyover from the Montana Air National Guard is planned over downtown.

Now on to the real thing, and that is the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Celtic street fair.

Did you know there is a Billings city ordinance that prohibits people on parade floats from throwing candy out to the spectators?

There is something about a small town parade.  I was in Deer Lodge Saturday.  Our band was playing at "Territorial Days" that evening.  The parade during the day was your typical small town parade.  Veterans, Fire trucks, Tractors, kids on bikes...

Whether you're just a wee bit Irish, a lot Irish or not Irish at all, don't miss they St. Patrick's Day celebration in Billings.

I had the great honor to drive the station van through the Downtown Billings St. Patricks Day parade. It was a blast! The crowd was huge and festive and people came decked out in green. I think my favorite costumes were the little leprechaun's who were wearing the fiery red strap-on beards...
