Marksmen from all over Montana will compete in a variety of challenges to earn the title of: 

“Billings Top Shot”

Saturday, September 20th

Participants will take their best shot in all 5 scored individual challenges:

Rifle Target Shooting

Pistol Target Shooting 

Archery 3D Target Shooting 

Shotgun Skeet Shooting

Tomahawk Throw

Points will be awarded to each shooter based on their accuracy at each station.  The 20 Top Shots will advance to the finals on Sunday.

Sunday, September 21st

Field of 20 will face new challenges on Sunday, with eliminations following each round, until the field is narrowed to 2. Finalists will face off in an unprecedented final challenge.


First Place: a Ruger 306 American Series Rifle, Top Shot Trophy and 10 year membership to Blue Creek Sport Shooting Complex

Second Place: Bow and 1-year membership at Blue Creek

Third Place: Remington Legacy Shotgun

Fourth Place: Sig Sauer .22 Pistol

Fifth Place: Buck Knife Engraved with "Billings Top Shot 2014"

Sixth through 20th Place: Field knife from Shipton’s Big R engraved with Billings Top Shot 2014.

*We reserve the right to substitute prizes based on availability.

Registration is limited to the first 100 marksmen. Entry Fee is $100 per person, which includes: Ammunition, Lunch and Commemorative T-shirt (Contestants must be 18 years of age or older).

Additional Information:

Contestant Check In: 8 am – 9 am, Saturday, September 20th at the Blue Creek Sport Shooting Complex Clubhouse.
Contestants will be required to sign a liability release form on the day of the shoot.

Event Parking is past the main entrance gate at the Clubhouse.

On Saturday, contestants will be divided into 5 groups. Each group will start at a different station until all shooters complete all 5 stations.

Top 20 contestants will be invited back for the Finals starting at 10 am Sunday, September 21st.

Contest is open to both men and women, ages 18 and older.

Contestants will not be allowed to use their own firearms or ammunition.

Contestants who are Blue Creek members prior to start of competition will be eligible for special Blue Creek sponsored prizes to be announced at the event.
