Ballots for the Sept. 15 Billings City Council election are now in residents' hands; the rest is up to you.

There are five, four-year terms up for grabs in the election. City Council members earn $7,200 annually.

Seeking office are:

  • Ward 1: Brent Cromley, incumbent; Kerri Seekins-Crowe and Angie Buckley
  • Ward 2: Larry D. Brewster, Chris Purcell, Jeremy Rindahl, Frank Ewalt and Walt R. Donges
  • Ward 3: Becky Bird, incumbent; Chris Friedel, Kevin Hamilton and Karen Moses
  • Ward 4: Ryan Sullivan, Francis DeVries, Bill Brown and Nathan R. Schmitz
  • Ward 5: Ken Crouch, incumbent; Dennis L. Ulvestad and Richard (Dick) Clark

This election is by mail ballot only; regular polling places will not be open. In order to be counted, ballots must be received at the election office by 8 p.m. on election day, Sept. 15.

All ballots may be returned by mailing it to the Yellowstone County Election Administration or delivering it in person to 217 N. 27th St., Room 101 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Office hours will be extended to 7 a.m. through 8 p.m. on election day, Sept. 15 for those who like the tradition of voting on election day.
