I was 14 years old when the original Top Gun movie came out in 1986 and I can't tell you how many times I've watched it since then. While the movie originally received mediocre reviews, it went on to earn $365 million at the domestic box office and in 2015 the Library of Congress selected the film for preservation in the National Film Registry, finding it "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." Not to mention, it made 1000's of young men and women want to become fighter pilots.

Fans of the movie (including yours truly) are anticipating the re-boot, titled "Top Gun: Maverick" which hits theaters June 26, 2020. Paramount released a new trailer today. Check it out:

Looks pretty awesome, huh?
