What is Jail Mail?

Jail Mail, this is a real thing in my life.  Got my first piece of jail mail when I was at a rock station in Phoenix, nearly 20 years ago.  Last week our station got the first piece of jail mail I've seen since I got here last year.

We all make mistakes, not here to judge anyone. Lord knows I'm not perfect.  I could be a better person. Radio DJ's were not famous, just lucky enough to have a cool job.

Jail Mail never used to scare me until I had a crazy man standing outside the station one night.  Jail Mail - letters from the prisoners.  Most nice, normal, just took a wrong turn.  But some of it creepy, crazy and scary.  I once received a drawing of me as a pixie.
