The Rolling Stones have added one more date to their '50 & Counting' North American tour, which will run through May and June. The legendary rockers have announced a concert - which they are billing as the final date on the tour - at the Verzion Center in Washington, D.C. on Monday, June 24.

The tour is slated so far for Los Angeles, Oakland, San Jose, Las Vegas, Anaheim, Toronto, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Montreal and now D.C.. The Stones will also perform a limited number of dates in the U.K. this year, including the Glastonbury festival on June 29 and London’s Hyde Park on Saturday, July 6. The tour marks their 50th anniversary as a band.

Guitarist Mick Taylor will perform as a special guest throughout the trek. In a press release, guitarist Keith Richards promises a re-invigorated group will take the stage. “From day one at rehearsals it sounded so fresh. You could tell that everybody was dying to get their teeth into it," he states. "It was like . . . open the gates . . . let us out! 'Cause man, it is the life and blood of us to play in front of people.”

The tour will feature a typically high-tech stage set designed around the Stones' iconic lips-and-tongue logo, with the tongue ramp extending into the audience, as well as video screens and special effects. The set list will include Stones classics like 'Gimme Shelter,' 'Paint It Black,' 'Jumping Jack Flash,' 'Tumbling Dice,' and 'It’s Only Rock and Roll,' alongside a few lesser-known cuts and even a cover song or two.

In the last 12 months the band have also released a greatest hits collection titled 'Grrr!,' the celebrated documentary 'Crossfire Hurricane,' and a photographic book titled 'Rolling Stones: 50.'

Tickets for the newly-announced D.C. date will go on sale Monday, May 13 at 10AM Eastern and will be available at www.rollingstones.com/tickets. Pre-sale information can be found at their website.
