About Journey

Journey was formed in San Francisco, California, in 1973 by former members of Santana and other well-known bands. They initially explored progressive rock and jazz fusion, gaining a sizable following. In 1978, Journey embraced a more melodic rock sound with the addition of lead vocalist Steve Perry. This shift propelled them to superstardom. Their albums 'Escape' (1981) and 'Frontiers' (1983) were massive successes, spawning iconic hits like "Don't Stop Believin'", "Any Way You Want It", "Open Arms", and "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)". Journey remains one of the best-selling bands of all time, selling over 100 million records globally. Their songs have become staples in classic rock radio and pop culture, featured in movies, TV shows (think "Glee" and "Sopranos"), and countless sporting events.

About ToTo

Toto was formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1977. Founded by a group of highly skilled session musicians (think of them as the top studio players hired for recordings by many famous artists). Known for their technical proficiency and ability to seamlessly blend rock with elements of pop, soul, and funk. Their 1982 album, Toto IV, achieved massive success, featuring iconic hits like "Africa," "Rosanna," and "Hold the Line."

Journey Solo Albums Ranked

If we relied only upon studio projects from Steve Perry, this list would be remarkably short. Luckily, other guys have been busy.
