Yesterday, we announced the Inaugural Billings Baconfest.  I don't know about you, but bacon, beer, bands and booze are four of my favorite things

For now, let's just focus on the bacon.  Today, the Log Cabin Bakery just signed on to serve samples of their insanely delicious maple bacon donuts.  If you haven't had one of those yet, it is one of the tastiest things you'll ever put in your mouth.  I could literally eat a dozen of those things.

I'm also a fan of cajun food and nobody in Billings does it better than Goode's Bayou Grill in the Vegas Motel on 27th Street. Their gumbo is amazing and they have authentic southern cornbread to die for.  I'm told they're dreaming up a special bacon gumbo for Baconfest.

The folks at Frankie Fistfulls Food truck will also be there.  They make outstanding philly cheese steaks.  At Baconfest, they will be serving biscuits with bacon and sausage gravy. They let me have a sample at our Top Shot tournament last weekend and it was awesome.

Our pals at Billings Hardware are bringing out the Traeger grills for Baconfest.  They will grilling up bacon and sausage and they'll have your chance to win a free Traeger grill at their booth.

The Ranch House Sausage Company is also on board for Baconfest. If you've ever sampled their meats at the Billings Farmer's Market, you know how good it is.  I can't wait to see what they have in store for us on November 15th.

I'm not sure what The Revere Food Truck will be cooking up for us, but if it's got bacon, I'm sure it'll be phenomenal.  And this is just the beginning.  We'll be adding more great restaurants to Baconfest in the coming weeks. Ever had bacon sushi?  How bout Bacon coffee?  You will.

Thankfully, the event runs from 11 am to 3 pm.  Somehow, I get the feeling we're all going to need a nap after we gorge ourselves on bacon for four hours.  I just feel sorry anybody who'll have to share a bathroom with me that evening.
