Billings Chase: Kidnapping and Assault Suspect Caught
From the Billings Police Department:
This morning, around 12:24 AM, BPD Officers were called to a possible kidnapping in progress in the 4200 block of State Avenue.
Officers were on the scene immediately and attempted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. The vehicle fled, and a multi-agency pursuit began.
After going throughout Billings... heights, South Side, mid-town, downtown... MHP Troopers successfully spiked the vehicle tires and reduced the speed of the suspect vehicle.
That vehicle proceeded to flee north of the heights, at which point MHP Troopers performed a PIT maneuver, causing the vehicle to finally come to a stop.
The driver, Anthony Garcia, a 44-year-old Billings man, was taken into custody for Kidnapping, Partner Family Member Assault/Aggravated Assault, Criminal Endangerment, and Fleeing/Eluding without further incident.
The female victim was located in the vehicle with minor injuries.
