Hoover Dam is located about 24 miles from the Las Vegas Strip in the states of Nevada and Arizona. Formed by the Hoover Dam Lake Mead is low low low on water the lake has not reached full capacity since 1983 due to a combination of drought and increased water demand. The Dam is really cool as on one side you are in Nevada and if you walk across you are in Arizona. I was there not to long ago and it made me sad to see where the water line is and where it was. Maybe God will fill it up once again but to get that much rain Las Vegas would be flooded out along with many other places!
