Do you think the hurricane was over-hyped by the media?  It seems like everyone these days likes to play the blame game, especially media.  Now in Hurricane Irene's aftermath, it's starting all over again. Ugh!

I had to think this through before making my decision.  My opinion?  NOPE!  Think of all of the millions of people in its path and the fact that only a relatively small handful of people were killed.  I think it was unbelievable that so many survived.  Not to sound morbid, but really I was expecting more casualties.

I also think that if the media (at least in this one instance) did a great job warning people to get the heck out of the way.  I'd much rather be safe and able to bitch about having to flee, then to be 6 feet under, but I don't know about you.

You know people love to blame, blame, blame.  When you look at some of the recent pictures it can take your breath away.  Follow this link to see the state by state breakdown of deaths and damages.  It'll blow your mind.

And now....here comes Tropical Storm Katia.  I dont know about you, but if I lived down there, I'd be paying more  attention to the Weather Channel.  :)
