The band Pearl Jam announced today that they will be performing in Missoula in September.  The concert is set for September 30th at the Adam’s Center with special guests Mudhoney.

The last time Pearl Jam performed in Missoula was in August 2005 as a fundraiser for Montana Senator Jon Tester.  Pearl Jam bassist, Jeff Ament is a native of Tester’s hometown of Big Sandy and a longtime friend of the Tester family.  No word on whether this a fundraising concert for Tester but Ament states on the band’s website that "Pearl Jam looks forward to joining folks from across Montana in support of Jon to build momentum and re-elect him in November."
Tester’s campaign is offering premium package tickets for the event that include choice seats for the concert as well as admission to a pre-show event with Tester and Pearl Jam.  Fans are also encouraged to participate in a first ever “Best Seats in the World” sweepstakes to benefit Tester’s re-election effort. Fans can “Best Seats in the World” $10 or any other amount to be automatically entered to win an unprecedented opportunity to watch Pearl Jam’s show from a seat on stage, along with travel, hotel accommodations and meals, backstage passes to the show and admission to pre-show events with Tester and Pearl Jam. Full details are available online at jontester.com
