Romantic Weekend Retreat at the Blue Sky Cabins North of Red Lodge

Over the weekend, my better half and I had the privilege of staying at the Blue Sky Cabins, a cozy, secluded romantic retreat for couples about 19 miles north of Red Lodge.   As a newcomer to Billings, it was my first chance to really experience the natural beauty of Montana up close and personal.

The "Forget Me Not" Cabin exceeded our expectations.  The location was amazing and the cabin was equipped with a full kitchen, a whirlpool tub and a huge king sized bed.  As nice as it was on the inside, the real highlight was the wildlife in the area.  We saw several golden eagles perched just outside our window, along with deer, cattle and wild turkeys.  The mountains were breathtaking and the star light in the evening was absolutely amazing.

If you're looking for a romantic weekend getaway only a couple of hours away from Billings, Blue Sky Cabins is definitely worth checking out.  As an added bonus, the proprietors, Keven and Tammy Luoma, are both rockers.  They have spent over 20 years in various bands and they still occasionally play in and around Red Lodge.
