Weekend: Shooting Friday, Robbery Saturday in Billings

From the Billings Police Department:

On Friday Night, around 9:42 PM, the Billings Police Department responded to the area of 1st Avenue North and North Broadway for reports of a gunshot.

Preliminary investigation shows that there was a disturbance in which a gun was discharged.

No injuries were reported, and the suspect is known at this time, however, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

On Saturday Morning, BPD responded to the area of the 1200 block of North 30th.

The preliminary investigation showed that the victim had been robbed by two suspects, and during the robbery, the victim was assaulted.

The victim was treated at a local hospital later in the morning.

BPD officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the two suspects and a second possible victim.

At this time, there is no suspected threat to the public, and the case is being actively investigated.
