WHISK DYE METHOD

It's inevitable that the dye for your Easter eggs just gets everywhere, especially if the kids are involved in the dyeing process. The gloves never help, and you end up with splotchy Sunday best clothes. This method is pretty genius. You take your egg and put it in the middle of a large whisk, then you can dip it into the dye with zero mess. This one could be a lifesaver...and a clothes saver too.

SKEWER PAINT METHOD

If you prefer to hand paint your eggs vs. mass dyeing them...this method is for you. You take your egg, raw, and you blow out the insides (yolk) through a small hole at the top. You can use a needle or pin for the hole. then you take a skewer and slide it through the egg. This way, you can paint the egg without having to touch it and there's no smudging your masterpiece!

EGG CARTON HOLDER

If you plan on drawing on your eggs without paint, or just want to be more hands-on with your little Picasso egg...upside-down egg carton is your best friend. Place the plain hard-boiled eggs or your fully dried hand-painted ones down on the underside of the carton. They don't move, and you can have an extra place for them to dry without messing up.

DYE REMOVAL METHOD

Now, with all of these clean and easy methods...more than likely, accidents will happen. It's just how it is with the kids around. If you find your hands, arms, face, and legs covered in dye that you cant see your skin color underneath...it's time for a baking soda bath. Add some baking soda to your hands and add some water, and start scrubbing. Follow up with another washing with dish soap, and you are dye free!
