Winter Is Here: ‘Game of Thrones’ LEGOs Bring on the ‘Song of Ice and Fire’
LEGO isn't in the habit of making sets based on extremely violent and highly sexualized HBO fantasy series, but thankfully, someone is out there filling that niche. Custom LEGO creation company Citizen Brick revealed their latest creation and it's a doozy: 13 minifigs based on characters from 'Game of Thrones.'
If you happen to fall into the middle of the venn diagram compiling LEGO fans and 'Game of Thrones' fans, start saving your pennies: this limited-time-only collection will set you back a steep $220 for the lot of them, or you can buy them in packages of three for $55 each. Yeah, that's a lot of money, but look at how cool and cute they are! Check out the adorable Jaime with his little cape! Applaud the choice of a goblet as Tyrion's accessory! Admire how plastic truly is the best way to capture Jon Snow's continuously blank expression! If you're a dork with tons of disposable income, this collection is a must buy.
As you can see, the set includes Khal Drogo, Daenerys Targaryen, Melisandre, King Joffrey, Tyrion Lannister, Varys, Jon Snow, Ygritte, a White Walker, Jaime Lannister, Arya Stark and Brienne of Tarth. If you order them all now, you'll get a 13th figure: Sir Typesalot, who looks suspiciously like 'A Song of Ice and Fire' creator George R.R. Martin.
Here's Citizen Brick's official description of the set:
Dragons! Knights! Totally inappropriate family relations! Join the adventure as these brave fighters cross swords with some of the most fearsome foes in the realm. Whether defending their kingdom or clamoring for the crown, these minifigs are ready for a battle royale to the death. Horde the complete series of stunning figs before every character you like is killed off. Your honor is at stake!
Citizen Brick is proud to unveil our most ambitions effort to date – The Dragon Sword Fighter Force! Four different sets of three minifigs packaged in full color blister cards. Every sets comes with crazy detailing: uniquely pad printed body parts, weapons, and custom cloth elements. Best of all, purchase all four sets at once and get a 13th bonus fig (while supplies last).
If you are already a LEGO collector and already have a fair share of medieval sets, you've got to get these. Nothing will spice up your castle building play time quite like morally dubious characters committing incest and cutting each other's heads off! Purchase these figures here.
