Famous words from Bob Barker, "Help Control The Pet Population", come to mind every time a free spay & neuter clinic comes up, but it is true. You can help keep the stray population down, and ensure all pets have a great home.
When is the clinic?
Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter is hosting their Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic this weekend, January 28th, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. At this time, the clinic is FULL, however, they have a wait list available in the event of cancellations.
Where is it?
The clinic is at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter, 1735 Monad Road, and you need to visit in person to sign up for the clinic.
What is the purpose of this clinic?
To provide veterinary services to those who are in financial need and/or those who would not be able to get their animals altered through any other means. YVAS will also be offering limited scholarships for this Clinic. Scholarship applications can be picked up at the shelter (proof of income is required).
More Details:
- This clinic is by appointment only and is NOT a drop-off clinic.
- Dogs $85
- Cats $55
- Vaccinations (Bordetella, Distemper, & Rabies) – $15 for one vaccine, $20 for two vaccines, or $25 for three vaccines.
- Microchipping – $20 (includes registration)
Safety Details from YVAS
The safety of your animals is of the utmost importance to YVAS staff and volunteers. Due to the fast pace of this clinic, it is not appropriate for female animals over the age of 4 years or males over the age of 7 years. Dogs must be under 90 lbs. Cats must be at least 2 lbs, dogs must be at least 3 lbs. We do not accept brachycephalic breeds (i.e. smooshed snouts such as French Bulldogs, Bulldogs, Persians, etc.). If you have any questions about whether your animal is a candidate for surgery at our clinic, please contact the shelter.
