'Chaos' is Billings' featured Wet Nose Wednesday Adoptable Pet.

We joke about Wednesday being our favorite day of the week, but when Yellowstone Valley Animal shows up in our studios with a dog, it truly is nothing but smiles. It's always fun to see the different personalities of each dog, and this week's adoptable dog is super sweet.

Don't let his name scare you off.

Chaos may have been a wild and crazy puppy, but he seems to have outgrown those traits as a two-year-old. He's around 85 pounds, and the bully mix is one of the calmer dogs we've met in recent weeks. He's the complete opposite of last week's dog, a big boy named Babe (who was adopted). Chaos was surrendered to the shelter about two weeks ago.

The shelter is at full capacity.

Pet adoptions seem to slow down around the holidays, as many people are preoccupied with travel, vacation time, guests, etc. Understandably, many households may put off adopting a dog (or a cat) and YVAS is currently full the limits on both. Derek Wulf, Humane Outreach Coordinator at the Shelter said to watch their website and social media pages for news on an adoption promotion coming soon.

Can't adopt? Other ways you can help.

Maybe you've already got a houseful of pets or you aren't allowed to have animals at your house or apartment. You can help out the animals at the shelter in other ways. Currently, they have an extra need for paper towels and wet cat food. You can also volunteer to help socialize with the animals or assist with other duties at the shelter. Inquire for more details.
