downsizing

Is it time to downsize?  My wife and I have been having this conversation for a few months.  We have reached an age where we don't need a big home.  Most of the kids are grown and on their own.  We really just live our lives in a few rooms, so why not downsize...

She doesn't want to part with anything. I put things in the pile to sell and as soon as she notices it's, "Hey, you can't sell that. I love that!", even though it's been in her closet, untouched, for two years.

We've had this ongoing thought that maybe we should look at downsizing.
