Downtown Billings

Downtown Billings has seen a revival in recent years. The champion at the heart of our city, the Downtown Billings Alliance, is responsible for many of Billings’s favorite festivals and Billings’ favorite street crew, the “Purple People.” Billings loves a parade and you can see parades year round with the St. Patrick’s Parade & Celtic Fair, the Holiday Parade, and the Pride Parade. Other festivals and activities include the Strawberry Festival, the Purple 5K, HarvestFest, and Billings First Fridays.

If you’re a fan of food, “get your foodie passport” during Billings Restaurant Week, a chance for the talented chefs in our area to show off their culinary skills. If beer is your thing, try the Billings Brew Trail, a crawl to 8 breweries in Downtown. If cooking is more your style, attend the Yellowstone Valley Farmers’ Market from July to October.

For music lovers, listen to live music at Wild Ginger or Walkers weekly, then be sure to attend Alive After 5 and Magic City Blues in the summer. For concerts year round, check out the Pub Station, a Greyhound bus station that’s been converted into a concert space. And of course, visit the Alberta Bair Theater for national entertainment acts and hear our very own Billings Symphony Orchestra & Chorale.
