‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ Trailer: Cash Rules Everything Around Leonardo DiCaprio
It's official: Martin Scorsese's 'The Wolf of Wall Street' will be hitting theaters for Christmas, and a new trailer has been readied to get us hyped for one of our most anticipated films of the season. Though it doesn't feature Leonardo DiCaprio dancing (like the last one), it's still pretty sweet.
This trailer gives a better sense of the plot, and sets up that the relationship between DiCaprio and Jonah Hill is one of the big narrative hooks, as is DiCaprio's battles with the government, here led by 'Friday Night Lights' star Kyle Chandler. This trailer isn't as flashy as the teaser (that is to say, it doesn't feature any Kanye West music), but man does the film look great.
'The Wolf of Wall Street' hits theaters December 25. Here's the film's synopsis:
Revered filmmaker Martin Scorsese directs the story of New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio). From the American dream to corporate greed, Belfort goes from penny stocks and righteousness to IPOs and a life of corruption in the late 80s. Excess success and affluence in his early twenties as founder of the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont warranted Belfort the title – “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
Money. Power. Women. Drugs. Temptations were for the taking and the threat of authority was irrelevant. For Jordan and his wolf pack, modesty was quickly deemed overrated and more was never enough.
