What’s Up With Hawk Streaming Audio? Bear With Us
Well, this is a little embarrassing, isn't it? Our streaming audio has been experiencing issues lately. You may notice these drops in audio if you're listing to the Hawk on your computer or tablet, on the mobile app or on your smart speaker. We're aware of the problem. In fact, when I asked our engineer if it could be this giant tangle of wires causing the issue, he tells me to stop being a smart ass.
He also doesn't think it's funny when I ask if maybe it's this pile of random electronic junk shoved in the corner of the Hawk studio that is causing our stream to fail. No sense of humor, that guy.
In reality, we are undergoing a major software/hardware update and you may experience occasional drops in our streaming audio over the next few weeks. Our IT department is pretty awesome and everything should be running smoothly again soon. You can always catch more of the Bob and Tom show HERE. While you explore that, I'll try to figure out what all the mumbo-jumbo on this screen means. I should probably reboot it, right?
Here's some fun Billings radio history for you. The 103.7 FM frequency has been a variety of radio stations over the years, broadcasting as:
- KOZY - Soft Hits, first broadcast 4/14/1988
- KBBB - Lite Rock ("for a busy world"), first broadcast 11/8/1996
- KMHK - Classic Rock, first broadcast 7/5/2010
(Source: FCC Info.com) I'm so glad we're not Lite Rock or Soft Hits, aren't you?
Anyway, thanks for sticking with us.
