‘LOUIE’ – JP’s Netflix Picks

It's time for another one of my Netflix Picks! I gave up Cable Television and Satellite TV going on almost two years ago now. As of today, I don't regret it at all. I've saved myself a ton of money and continue to entertain myself with the good, the bad, and the odd that I find on streaming services. I have a subscription to Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Prime.

Since these are my only sources of video entertainment I tend to spend a lot of time sifting through the thousands of titles to come up with some really entertaining stuff that I enjoy sharing with everyone.

Today I'm sharing with everyone a comedy show entitled 'Louie'. The television starts comedian Louis C.K. The show is loosely based around events that have taken place in his life.showing him as a comic onstage, and depicting his life offstage as a newly divorced father of two girls. Each episode features either two stories that may or may not connect thematically, or a longer full-episode story (often consisting of numerous connected shorter pieces), all of which revolve around Louie.

I will be honest with you, this show has gotten a lot of buzz before and a ton of people have recommended it to me numerous times but I just never got around to watching it. That is until one fateful late night weekend, when I had nothing else to watch and I was picking things at random. I found myself enthralled with the show!

I watched the first half of the first season in that one sitting!

If you've ever seen Louie C.K.'s stand-up before than you're prepared for what comedy is in store for you.If you haven't seen Louie C.K. before than you might have a 50/50 shot at enjoying the show. He's a cynical and somewhat vulgar comedian, and the stories in his show reflect that styling pretty closely.  But if you're already a Netflix member than you have nothing to lose! I highly recommend you give it at least a two episode test run to see if gets a laugh or two out of you!
