Billings Library Packed With Kids Events This Holiday Season

The Billings Public Library always has events happening, however for the parents out there, here's the roundup of kid-focused events at the library for December!

Winter Scavenger Hunt

From December 1st through 31st, The Children's area will be hosting a Winter Scavenger Hunt. Pick up a clue sheet at the Children's desk and hunt for 10 winter images hidden throughout the Children's area. Participants who complete the hunt will be entered into a drawing for a Family Winter Pack, perfect for those cozy, winter days indoors. The last day to participate is December 31st.

Game On!

Fridays 3 to 4:45 pm, Special Holiday Dates of December 27th through 29th 1 pm to 4 pm in the Children's Craft Corner. Hang out in the craft corner and play board games or build a Lego masterpiece!

Where Do All The Animals Go in Winter?

Saturday, December 17th at 1 pm in the Community Room

Have you ever wondered where all the animals go in winter? Join Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area for this fun and educational program about the habits of some of Montana's favorite animals in winter. Enjoy a story and a hands-on activity. Children of all ages are welcome.

Dance Like a Molecule w/ The Atomic Cirus

Saturday, December 10th at 2 pm in the Community Room

Join Atomic Circus with special guest musicians Side Door for a STEM program like no other. Enjoy demos of molecules heating up and cooling off and learn how to dance like a molecule. Be ready to have fun while learning!

The Butterfly Project

Sharing "Our Families Stories" - Short Film and Q&A - Monday, December 5th at 3:45 pm in the Community Room

The Butterfly Project Education Team of retired educators present their families' heroic stories and lessons from surviving the Holocaust. This short film will be followed by a Q&A with the educators featured in the film. Children ages 6-12 and their adults are invited to attend.
