Last year, about 600 pounds of prescription drugs were collected through the annual prescription drug take-back project in Yellowstone County.  The event takes place again this year on Saturday, April 28 at the Elks Lodge at 934 Lewis Ave.  The times are 9 am through 2 pm.  Residents are welcome to drop off their no longer needed prescription drugs, which will be safely disposed of.  Needles, lotions and liquids are not allowed at this event so keep that in mind.  The project is sponsored by the Billings Regional Drug Enforcement Agency, the Elks Lodge 394 Drug Abuse Prevention Project, Global Peace Foundation and the March against Drugs and Violence.  Not only is this a great help for you but also keeps unused drugs out of the hands of relatives that may visit your home.
