Opening Statements in Double Murder
MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Opening statements were held in the trial over a reported 2013 double killing at a rural residence in western Montana.
Missoula County Attorney Kirsten Pabst said Tuesday investigators found evidence to match a report by Karen Hardy that her former partner, Caressa Hardy — also identified in court papers as Glenn Dibley — shot and killed Thomas Korjack and Robert Orozco in March 2013 at a residence near Frenchtown and burned their bodies and other evidence.
Pabst acknowledged no DNA was recovered from the burned human bones, but blood spatter on a television matched Korjack.
Caressa Hardy is also charged with offering to pay fellow Missoula County jail inmates to kill Karen Hardy.
