Ebay And Amazon No Longer Sell Items With Confederate Flag Image

Nascar recently made a move to distance itself from the Confederate flag, no longer allowing the sale of merchandise featuring the "stars and bars". It seems like an obvious choice to many, but many of its loyal fan base will no doubt be pissed off.

Now online retailers Amazon and Ebay have made a similar move - banning the sale of merchandise featuring the image. Ebay's official announcement was as follows: "We have decided to prohibit Confederate flags, and many items containing this image, because we believe it has become a contemporary symbol of divisiveness and racism. This decision is consistent with our long-standing policy that prohibits items that promote or glorify hatred, violence and racial intolerance."

It seems that Ebay does continue to sell Nazi memorabilia...I'm unsure as to the fate of The Dukes Of Hazard's famous car.
