Huntley Project FFA & AG Receives $10K Donation To Fund Projects
Big news from Huntley Project and their FFA & AG programs!
ACH Seeds Crystal Brand Sugarbeet Seed donated $10,000 to Huntley Project Schools FFA & Ag Department in Worden thanks to the company's Homegrown Giving program.
Huntley Project Schools was chosen as one of six organizations across the United States to receive the $10,000 donation in 2023.
Funds from this donation are going toward funding a variety of projects, and their ongoing efforts to enhance quality of life across rural communities.
Mark Wandle, Superintendent of Huntley Project Schools, shared this:
There is an increasing need for students with workplace-ready skills in the agriculture trade industries. I’m grateful to ACH Seeds and their Homegrown Giving program for helping us provide the tools needed to continue promoting trade careers and help prepare students for the workforce.
HPS also offers welding and college-level welding classes, teaching students a skillset they can use for a lifetime after graduation. This donation also will help expand the welding program at HPS by purchasing additional wire-feed welders.
The additional welders will help students stay up-to-date with workplace standard operations, and position them to be successful in a trade career.
Another portion of the donation will be used to expand the agriculture department's curriculum.
