Remember, It Is Still Winter
We get comfortable with the warm weather until we realize it is January 16.
A winter storm will impact the west from tonight through Friday morning with moderate to heavy snowfall at times.
- WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 9 inches
expected. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. - WHERE…Absaroka Mountains.
- WHEN…From 11 PM this evening to 11 AM MST Friday.
- ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will primarily cause travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibility, and use caution while driving.
I use the MDT website to check out what the road conditions are. If you are traveling, be safe and make sure you have a winter kit in your trunk. Warm blankets, shovel, fresh water, matches or lighter, sand--you know the drill.
