I'm ashamed to admit this but, I went to Taco Bell sober. And it's true what they say about the difference between Taco Bell late at night when you're tuned up and sober Taco Bell. We are talking a night and day difference, which it turns out is the same tragic reality of Taco Bell's marketing of their products versus what they actually deliver.

Since I was sober at the time of my ordering, I had more brain power available to me to actually contemplate my choices. I was drawn to the large picture on the overhead menu much like the one you see at the top of this post. Looks delicious doesn't? I'm an avid consumer of all thing steak so this transaction was a no-brainer.

Check out that Presentation!

I was a bit perplexed when my to-go order came in a giant grocery bag. Apparently Taco Bell really wants to over-sell the presentation on this new "signature" product. No seriously, it's from the Chef Lorena Garcia collection! Fancy eh?

But are they trying to overcompensate for something? You're damn right they're overcompensating for something!

Look at the following pictures and tell if you see something missing!

Still confused? Here is a side-by-side comparison:

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not delusional enough to think that a fast food joint like Taco Bell is going to be able to produce something that looks like it came off their television commercial. But in this case I feel pretty strongly that I definitely didn't get what I paid for!

What do you guys think I should do? Share your ideas with me in the comments!
