Billings Police Update Downtown Patrol Car With Vibrant Graphics
Recently, the Downtown Billings Alliance collaborated with the Billings Police Department in an update for the Downtown Patrol Car for Billings.
Previously, the BPD Patrol SUVs sported a simple, yet standout graphics package across all vehicles in the fleet (that were recently added over COVID). That package included the State of Montana with a Blue Lives Matter flag inside of it, along with the unit number, the Seal of the State of Montana, and a few other adornments. Before the Ford Interceptor SUVs, BPD utilized the Interceptor Sedan (A Ford Taurus) with a much more difficult-to-see graphics package.
Distinguishing the Downtown-Specific car was not something easily done, though many residents have likely seen it parked downtown.
What does it look like now?
Thanks to ACES MT here in Billings, the downtown patrol car got a bit of an upgrade, and now stands out a bit more for residents to find.
The newly-updated downtown patrol car can be found hanging out at the offices of the Downtown Billings Alliance throughout the day, as shown below on Google Street View.
The new scheme adds neon yellow details, matching the neon yellow shirts the downtown officers wear, along with "Downtown Billings" text.
Downtown Officers Richardson, Freeman, and Fonte can be spotted utilizing the downtown patrol car, keeping our residents, workers, and visitors safe from bad actors.
