While it is officially Spring, The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that will be in effect for the counties of Yellowstone and Musselshell until NOON MDT on Wednesday (5/1).

Snow is forecast to start early Tuesday (4/30) morning in Billings making rush hour travel hazardous with slushy, slick roads and poor visibility. 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulation is expected in the Magic City through Wednesday. Columbus could see up to 4 inches with 6 to 8 possible in Red Lodge.

Those with travel or outdoor plans should monitor the forecast closely. Travel could be impacted by heavy, wet snow. Young livestock may be at risk, as well as agriculture. Tree with new leaves could feel the stress of heavy, wet snow as well. -N.W.S.
